Following two substitute appearances in the Premier League
International Cup, there was a PL2 debut for 17 year-old midfielder
Mason Miley, younger brother of Lewis.
Munda's strike ended a 738 minute wait for an U21 league or
cup goal since Alfie
Harrison netted during an EFL Trophy tie at Harrogate Town last
November.

Friday saw Newcastle U21s come from behind to claim a deserved point
in the PL2 derby at Cleadon - ending their goal drought in the
process.
With interim coach Robbie Stockdale again in charge, a blue-clad
United began the game having failed to find the net in any of their
last seven league and cup fixtures.
That almost changed within the opening seconds, but Sean Neave shot
wide and was denied by mackem 'keeper Ben Metcalf soon after as the
Magpies made a strong start.
Visiting custodian Adam Harrison was called into action on 28
minutes, smothering Jack Whittaker's low shot but the bulk of the
chances fell to United - Anthony Munda's effort clearing the
crossbar after Neave teed him up.
The final action of the first half saw Metcalf fist away a rising
shot from Neave but the hosts took a 56th minute lead when a right wing corner
eluded Harrison beyond his back post, leaving Thomas Lavery to head
home.
Neave was withdrawn soon after, but the Magpies levelled on 63
minutes when
Anthony Munda intercepted a loose pass near the edge of the box and
drove the ball home.
Munda's off-target header on 78 minutes was the closest United came
to a second while at the other end, Harrison Jones shot wide in the
final seconds of normal time.
